One of my favorite holiday traditions with Mr. Lemon is to see a production of the ballet The Nutcracker each December.  It is also the night we celebrate my birthday (my birthday is December 23rd, so celebrating on the actual day is often difficult!).  Our local ballet company, The Grand Rapids Ballet, is the production we usually see and we love it, but this year both weekends of their shows fell on weekends we had to travel so we are very sad to be missing it!  Their final weekend of shows is this coming weekend – if you are in my town of Grand Rapids, Michigan and are looking for something lovely to do this weekend, I highly recommend seeing it!  Find out more information on their shows here.

And speaking of The Nutcracker, what little girl (or boy, but perhaps in a different color palette…) wouldn’t be absolutely thrilled to attend this Nutcracker party by Kate Landers Events?  The entire event looks completely magical and feels straight out of the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy!  Perhaps I’ll be able to throw a party for my niece with this theme (who also shares my December 23rd birthdate!).
