This first birthday party by Carrie of Half Baked – The Cake Blog is absolutely adorable.  I love first birthday themes that are youthful and not too mature – after all, you only have one first birthday party!  Carrie’s daughter Sadie has a great love of her stuffed lamb and anything soft, so the theme evolved naturally from there!  The piles of yarn balls, felt and yarn pom garlands create such a soft and snuggly effect – I just love that!  The natural color scheme of creams, tans and browns worked so well on the dessert table and keeping the foods withing the same color range made everything tie in so pefectly.  Who wouldn’t love mini cinnamon rolls, donuts holes, popcorn…and just look at that beautiful cake!  This theme would make for a lovely neutral baby shower as well and it would be easy to add a pop of color if you wanted to.  See the Half Baked blog for even more photos!
