One of my favorite traditions that Mr. Lemon and I have established is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with our friends. We are blessed with amazing, amazing friends that I consider my family and I love to celebrate ringing in the New Year with them. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas schedules are filled to the brim with events – four sets of parents all over the state and three immediate family member birthdays start to fill a four week span very quickly!- and by the end of it, this party is a wonderful way to cap off the holiday season.
Although I’m not necessarily one to set a New Year’s resolution, there is something about the clean slate of a new year that will always appeal to me. 2011 had it’s up’s, but it also definitely had it’s downs for the Lemon household. When I take a look back, I can’t help but feel that I’ve grown so much this past year. Sometimes you need to be rocked to your core to remember how strong you are and to fight for what you really want. I’m looking so forward to this fresh, new year and the challenges I have in store to push myself even further than I’ve already come. I hope you, too, are looking forward to this new year and what it has in store for you!
I will definitely be posting more photos of our NYE party later, but here’s a preview of Mr. Lemon and I – can you guess the theme???
Did you finally get your Mad Men party???
Let’s say that I proved him wrong! :D
He’s not as smart as he thinks he is ;o)
Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi Dawn! I use WordPress and I love it! Good luck!
So cute!! Very sad I/we couldn’t be there, NYE just didn’t have the same sparkle as usual. Hope you had a fab birthday!!!!
