Crushworthy: Emerald Green

When Pantone named Emerald the 2013 Color of the Year, I have to admit that I was initially quite surprised with the choice.  Emerald was not on my radar as an up and coming color.  But this shade of green has quickly grown on me and I’m excited to use it soon, probably in an outfit or party color scheme.  I also love the deep color in home decor but it honestly wouldn’t blend well with my current palette.  *sigh*  I’ll just have to get my fix in other ways…

Crush #1 – These emerald strappy sandals are just gorgeous!  They would be a sophisticated way to bring a pop of color to an LBD or a sassy addition to skinny jeans for a night out.

Crush #2 – These photos show how stunning this deeper green works with shades of brown and teal.  (and you seriously can’t go wrong checking out this Peacock themed wedding in its entirety on Katelyn James’s blog…stunning)

Crush #3 – Mr. Lemon and I first noticed this style of chair in England, at Jamie Oliver’s Italian, where I promptly fell in love with their clean lines and industrial-rustic vibe.  Those chairs were a yummy shade of mulberry, but this new color addition to Industry West‘s line of Marais Chairs is pretty darn delicious, too.  My dining room is just dying for a makeover, so maybe I can work in some emerald after all…

Crush #4 – This tablescape shows, again, how well emerald can pop when paired with a neutral background.  I have a black & white striped tablecloth so I can imagine using this tablescape as inspiration for a dinner party.

Crush #5 – How can I have an emerald crushworthy post without some emerald gems?!  I might not buy these outright, but with Rent the Runway, they could be mine for the weekend!
