This year I’ve been very excited to be part of the planning committee for the Grand Rapids Ballet’s Spring Gala! I helped out a bit last year, but as a co-chair this year I’ve been much more involved. Mr. Lemon and I have had season tickets to the Grand Rapids Ballet for several years and we’ve become good friends with some of the dancers and staff, which makes attending events and performances even better.
The spring gala is their annual fundraiser and includes dinner, drinks, and of course, dancing. This year’s theme was inspired by what will be their final performance of the season – Romeo & Juliet. So, we’re going with a romantic palette of pinks, peaches, and gold and a menu of Italian foods served family style at long tables. Really, the only question left is what I will wear…
